OWASP Global AppSec 2026
We made the OWASP 2026 conference badge to be useful, collectable, and a little bit more memorable than the usual lanyard card.
Use this button to view your unlocked modes, and send your mode to a friend
A short press of this button will cycle different modes, and a long press will put the badge to sleep
Your badge has an IR receiver on the head, and a transmitter in the sting
Press Button 1 to see which modes you have unlocked. The BLUE LED indicates your mode, a GREEN LED shows a mode you have collected, and RED LEDs indicate locked modes. Not all modes can be unlocked in Vienna!
To send a mode you press the same Button 1, and your mode will be sent. Line up your sting with your friends badge head
The wings are replaceable. You can collect new ones at the Punk Security stand, Endor Labs, or Arnica. We will also release the PCB files after the con.
Colect LED modes for PRIZES
Come to the Punk Security stand with 5 unlocked modes and we’ll give you our own flashy mode, and a set of Punk Security wings.
Bring a badge with 10 unlocked modes, and we’ll give you one of our Punk Security badges too!
Your badge is designed as conference swag first: wear it, collect LED modes, and keep it as a reminder of OWASP Global AppSec 2026.
The badge is a custom piece of conference hardware created by Punk Security for OWASP Global AppSec 2026. It’s built around the attiny814 microcontroller, and we will opensource all designs and firmware after the conference.
Treat it like a small PCB or printed conference badge. Avoid bending it, soaking it, or storing it loose with keys and other sharp objects. When the conference is over, it should be happy on a shelf, a desk, or wherever your favourite event keepsakes end up.
Punk Security helps organisations build security into software delivery. We work across DevSecOps, application security, cloud security, penetration testing, and security assurance.
We also like making useful things for the security community, which is how this badge happened. You’ll find our badges mainly at BSIDES events across the UK.
